Healthy Homes Assessment


Engimech Consulting is able to help property managers and landlords to provide full independent and qualified assessments of your properties as we are not aligned to any suppliers or installers that provide services to the Healthy Homes Standards such as heat pumps, insulation, ventilation fans, etc.

After our assessment, you will receive a full report documenting the work required to bring the property up to the Healthy Homes Standards, or if no work is required, we will issue a Certificate of Compliance which will be included as part of your tenancy agreement.

Once the work required is completed, we will return for reassessment.  We update the report to reflect the work completed and issue a Certificate of Compliance.





    1 July 2021 – All private rental properties must comply with HHS within 90 days of any new tenancy.

    1 July 2021 – All boarding houses must comply with HHS.

    1 July 2024 – All rental homes must comply with HHS.

    The new Healthy Homes Standards (HHS) are coming into effect on 1st July 2021 requiring all private rental properties to comply within 90 days of any new or renewed tenancy.  They form part of the Residential Tenancy Act and require all rental home to comply specific requirements and regulations in regards to insulation, heating, ventilation, moisture and drainage, and draught stopping.

    The purpose of the new standards is to provide improved quality of rental houses to ensure healthy living environment for the tenants by providing a warmer and drier homes.
